Imprint and Artwork Policies
Section IX: Continuation of Working Agreement.
Submitting Artwork: To ensure prompt processing and to avoid delays in generating an imprint proof, please make certain that all artwork submitted to art@targetedpromo.com contains your order acknowledgment number and organization name.
Definition of Camera Ready Artwork: We consider artwork camera ready if it is crisp and clean, black and white and production ready. For multi-color imprints we require artwork to be color separated. Vector based artwork made in Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw are best.
What is not Camera Ready Artwork: We do not consider photocopies, business cards, faxes, letterhead, low definition JPG, TIF, or GIF computer files as camera ready artwork.
File Formats: Acceptable file formats are vector based, in PC format preferred but MAC is also accepted via email.
- AI or EPS with fonts converted to outline (Adobe Illustrator ver: CS2)
- CDR with text converted curves (Corel Draw ver: 12)
- PDF in vector based and text converted to outlines
- Bitmap (raster based) art (Photoshop, TIF, JPG) minimum 300 dpi, to imprint size and color separated if necessary.
Art Layout and Charges: Every order at Targeted Promotions has 15 to 30 minutes* of graphic arts time to process customer's orders and issue an imprint proof. Our graphic arts department may be able to convert your non-camera ready imprint without further charge in your allotted time. Targeted Promotions may charge layout charges for graphic art time billed at $50 per/hour in no more or less then 15 minute increments if it runs over. Notice of the extra charge will be included with your imprint proof. If commissioning a custom logo art layout will be started at 30 minutes minimum and 15 minute increments there after, until a final proof. Just email art@targetedpromo.com after you have settled the invoice for a vector copy of your new logo. We will also have a copy for your future needs as well. Artwork is kept on file for 18 to 24 months.
Imprint Proof: Every Order acknowledgment includes at minimum an imprint proof laid out to size of the imprint in black and white format for single color imprints in a PDF format, or in color for multi color. This is the exact file we use to process you art for print. Customers must return the emailed imprint proof with the OK to proceed to production. Customers are allowed one change or alteration of an imprint proof if needed at no charge. Further editing or changes to the imprint proof past the initial revised proof may incur a graphic art charge of 15 minutes. Once an imprint proof is returned and OK. Any further changes past that time will incur graphic art charges and possibly a new setup charge. It is the responsiblity of the customer to completely check the proof for errors, image sharpness, or other errors not mentioned.
Multi-Colored Imprints and Placement : Targeted Promotions maintain the utmost in quality printing and embroidery standards. However, customer must understand in instances other then 4 color process printing, a 1/16" inch registration variation between colors may occur and will also be acceptable. Also imprint and embroidery placements may vary up to 1/8" of an inch which will also be acceptable to the customer. In the case of 4 color process printing the customer must be aware that 300 dpi is the minimum allowed printing but that printing in 600 dpi and higher yeilds better results.
Reminder to Rush Production Customers: Please keep in mind especially for a rush order. Your must return the imprint proof for us to proceed to production and start the production time part of your order acknowledgment. Production many times does not start until the following day for most orders received after 12 Noon central time. Your in hands date assumes an imprint proof returned by 12 noon central time the following day if standard production. Otherwise an expected turnaround of Rush production artwork is within 4 hours of it being sent for approval, unless specifically noted otherwise in your order acknowledgment email notice.
